For busy heads
A lot of meditation advice assumes a mind that sits still when asked. Many don't. This site was built by someone whose head works that way.
Things that help
- Short. Two or three minutes. Stop while it still feels OK.
- Something to do. Counting, naming or a pacer give your mind a job. Try Counting to ten or Noting.
- Something to watch. The Mandala and the breath pacers mean you don't have to count at all.
- Moving is allowed. Rocking, fidgeting, stimming, walking. None of it spoils the practice.
- Same time, same place. Tie it to something you already do, like after the kettle boils.
- Out loud. Practice mode can read each step aloud. Some people find saying the words themselves helps even more.
Senses
- Sound cues, the drone and the bells can all be turned off.
- The Aa button, top right, makes text bigger, switches between dark and light, and stops anything moving.
No streaks
This site doesn't count your days or tell you off for missing one. Nothing is tracked.
